Head Coach
While more is to follow once she settles in as our new coach, Coach Pamela Owens has an impressive resume.
Coach Owens began coaching at Judson High School just outside of San Antonio as an assistant for the Girls Basketball Program. After 6 years, she moved to Bandera High School in Bandera, Texas for her first head coaching opportunity. After two successful seasons, she became the head coach at San Antonio Taft High School, where she built a dynasty with 6 straight regional tournament appearances and trips to the State Tournament Final Four in 2002, 2004, and 2005. In 2006, she moved to Knoxville, Tennessee where she worked as a graduate assistant under coaching legend Pat Summitt at the University of Tennessee. In 2007, Coach Owens was lured back to San Antonio where she returned to Judson High School as the head coach. Coach Owens was honored to coach the All-Star Game for the Texas Association of Basketball and to receive the San Antonio Coach of the Year Award. With over 350 career wins, Coach Owens has high expectations for deep runs into the playoffs.
Coach Owens is married. She and her husband, Joe, have 4 dogs.

Ami Malvo completed her thirteenth season this year as the assistant Varsity Coach and Junior Varsity coach of the Marcus Lady Marauders. Before becoming a Marauder, Coach Malvo was the JV coach for five seasons at Lincoln High School in Port Arthur, Texas.
Coach Malvo's superior coaching skills can be directly attributed to her strong work ethic, passion for the game, and her career as a gifted high school and college athlete, competing as a High School state finalist in the 100-meter hurdles, and lettering in both basketball and track, before earning her degree from the University of North Texas.
Coach Malvo is married to her husband, Carl, and they have a son, Carl, Jr., with another baby boy on the way.
A graduate of Marcus High School in 1998, where he was a member of the 1997 State Champion Football team, Coach Lee is in his 3rd year of teaching and coaching at Marcus. He graduated from Texas A&M University in 2003 where he received a Bachelor's of Business Administration Degree in Management Information Systems.
Coach Lee was an IT Consultant for four years prior to pursuing his passion to teach and coach. Coach Lee began coaching as a volunteer football coach in 2007. He coached boys basketball last year and now is the Head Freshman Coach of girls basketball. He also coaches volleyball at Marcus. Coach Lee has been married for five years to his lovely wife, Jacqie.
This is Coach Southern's second year at Marcus High School and her tenth year teaching and coaching. She earned a Bachelor's Degree in Exercise, Health and Sports studies, and a Master's Degree in Education from the University of Texas at Arlington.
Prior to coming to Marcus, Coach Southern coached girls basketball at the freshman, JV and Varsity levels.
Like Coach Malvo, Coach Southern's success as a coach can also be directly attributed to her strong work ethic, passion for the game, and her career as a gifted high school and college athlete, being named to the Louisiana All-State Basketball team her Junior and Senior year and playing Division I basketball for 2 years at the University of Mississippi (Go! Ole Miss).
Coach Southern is also the Varsity Assistant Coach for softball. She has lived in Frisco for the past 7 years and is a member of the Fellowship Church in Grapevine.
