Head Coach

MALLORY SINGLETON-LYNN

Marcus High School is proud to announce that Coach Mallory Singleton-Lynn has been named the new Head Coach of the Lady Marauder Basketball Program. Singleton-Lynn played for Flower Mound High School before receiving a scholarship to Southern Methodist University, where she played all four years. During her time at SMU, Singleton-Lynn served as team captain and earned her Bachelor degrees of Arts in Economics and of Business Administration as well as a Master of Science in Accounting from the SMU Cox School of Business. Singleton-Lynn returned to Flower Mound in the fall of 2015 to begin her teaching and coaching career, where she served for six years as a Varsity & JV Girls Basketball Coach and taught Accounting. At the beginning of the 21-22 school year, Coach Singleton-Lynn accepted a position with Rock Hill High School in Prosper ISD as the Girls Basketball Varsity Assistant. Coach Singleton-Lynn brings a high level of experience, knowledge, excitement and a passion for teaching and coaching to Marcus High School and we look forward to her leadership at the helm of the Lady Marauder Basketball Program.

Varsity Assistant/JV Head Coach

JASMINE SHAW

Jasmine Shaw is in her 7th year of coaching and 5th year in education. She is entering her first year at Marcus High School as the Junior Varsity coach and she is also a Special Education teacher. Coach Shaw is a Marcus Alumni, Class of 2010. In her four years at Marcus, she helped lead the Lady Marauders basketball team to three district championships. She went on to play collegiate basketball at the University of Louisiana at Monroe, where she received her Bachelor’s degree. After college, she moved to Kansas, where she was an assistant coach at Bethany College for two years. She helped with recruiting and contributed to turning the program around. She then moved back home to Texas to work within LISD at Hedrick Middle School, where she was a physical education teacher and coach for four years. She has a two-year-old son, named Mekhi. Jasmine is happy to be back!

Freshmen Red Head Coach

ASHLEIGH BARRON

Coach Barron began teaching in 2014 and joined Marcus High School in 2019. Prior to coming to Marcus, Coach Barron coached volleyball and softball in Arlington ISD. While at Marcus, she has coached the JV2 and Freshman basketball teams and the JV and Varsity softball teams. She was the Class of 2006 Marcus High School Salutatorian and Varsity pitcher and Captain for the Lady Marauders softball team. She signed as a pitcher to the University of Pennsylvania but transferred to Southern Methodist University where she graduated Summa Cum Laude.

Coach Barron loves coaching at her alma mater! Her husband, David, is also a Marcus graduate! They have 2 sons, Brady (7) and Bennett (4), and an adorable cat named Rose!

Freshmen Silver Head Coach

KELSEY Dierke

Coach Dierke began teaching in 2018 and joined Marcus High School in 2021. Prior to Marcus, Coach Dierke coached volleyball, basketball, and track at Forestwood Middle School. In the spring of 2021, she obtained her master’s degree in Educational Leadership from the University of North Texas. Go Mean Green! She was a varsity outside hitter/defensive specialist for the Grapevine High School volleyball team. She is so excited to be at Marcus High School and can’t wait to see the growth and success all the members in the Marcus Girls Basketball program will achieve! Let go Marauders!
